According to station management, the show failed to garner a large enough audience to remain on air. The show, which made its debut in 2013, focused on current events and issues of interest to Delmarvans.

Publishers Notes: GOOD! I have to agree with a recent commenter, THIS SHOW COMPLETELY SUCKED. In fact, I too stopped watching it after the very first time. WBOC tried to host a television Blog and took most of their point, counter points directly from Salisbury News survey questions of the day. Karma
This show was horrible!
ReplyDeleteToo painful to watch! A "The View" want to be!!!!
ReplyDeleteSort of like point and counter point from the early days of 60 minutes. Could not stomach much of it after a few episodes!
Lol Jonathan taylor is on suicide WATCH.
ReplyDeleteAnnoying. Glad to see it gone.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder. I called several times and because I questioned the validity of the presentation they gave and even though Tom Draper agreed with me on the same topics more than once I was told they had to cut. Case in point, the administrator of the Md. Insurance project under Brown and O'Malley, it was self evident the information she gave was bogus and I stated it. I was immediately censored and in the end run what I said was printed in the Sun Papers. I'm glad they're gone and I'm going to E-mail Sam and tell him so.

ReplyDeleteMurph and cowboy was the only morning show I listened to
Deleted"oh.
ReplyDeleteIt was a pretty bad show
ReplyDeleteFatboy stroking out thats 2 advertisers he has lost in a week.
ReplyDeletegood riddance even moving it to different time slots didn't work.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't watch. Her voice too annoying.
ReplyDeleteShe is a illegal alien.
Deleteditto 3:29
ReplyDeleteShould have changed it to a good program format like the "Nude News", from Canada!
ReplyDeleteI could not stand the show. The one time I watched it that Murph guy was trying to stir the pot with the callers and not revealing the full truth on a particular topic.
ReplyDeleteI hate when people do that.
Give me full disclosure so that we can have a relevant conversation, otherwise its just all useless babble.
And really who give a crap what his or her opinion is. I really do not care what they think about anything.
If that is the type of show you want to air at least pick someone that knows what they are talking about.
Loved her haIr. Pht pht pht.
ReplyDeleteFinally off the air yahoooo.....it blew chucks....libtarded attempt at fairness? Hell libtards would'nt know true diversity if it hit them in the face
ReplyDeleteMurph was not a liberal, u fool
Delete6:03 PM
ReplyDeleteI think you meant chunks
Good thought for a local program, wrong hosts...neither were able to talk "off the cuff" they seemed to need scripted material.
ReplyDeleteI liked the show!
ReplyDeleteNow all we need is the other 2 knuckle heads off the parent station. So good I can't remember their names or the station
ReplyDeleteLocal media has been in the toilet since Bill Reddish signed of at WICO.
ReplyDeleteI thought she needed a drug test! Always looked like she was strung out. Neither had what it takes to do a talk show. That is what Draper has these days to work with. LOL LOL LOL
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteNever watched it; the promos were sufficiently horrible that I was never tempted to tune in. The test pattern was more compelling!
Good riddance to Murph and Morticia. More liberal useless crap. Want a truely "controversial" local talk show? Try something like admitting that our president is a Muslim, Communist, bisexual. THAT WOULD GET THE PHONES RINGING AND THE RATINGS UP!! No other low life liberal MSM show has the guts.
ReplyDeleteMurph was successful on the radio, but not on this show. WBOC got arrogant with trying to do a show like this. They figured they would make $$$ from local advertisers like they do with that awful Delmarva Life show. But State of Delmarva was just horrible. No one wants to watch a show like that at 7 in the morning. And when they moved it to 1pm you knew it was a goner. Murph should be back on the radio where he was successful.
ReplyDeletemaybe now she will have time to eat a few cheese burgers
ReplyDeletethe show was horrible but i dont blame murph, he didnt have much to work with and his co host was a nightmare. i loved him on his radio shows and i think he could be great as a host on something more fun and entertaining. i felt sorry for murph the only time i tuned in, i really wanted to like the show but i just couldn't stand the sound of her voice and her overall demeanor. oh, and the callers were a mess.
ReplyDeleteI hope and pray "Delmarva Life" gets canceled tomorrow.
ReplyDelete9:19, Its interesting you say that. While I do not watch that show very much at all, (not enough time) I can say that when I have I truly enjoy the energy Lisa and Jimmy give off. Always happy, always positive and quite honestly, very refreshing.
ReplyDeleteI also agree, I have no problems with Delmarva life. My only complaint is, I wish they wouldn't make Jimmy Hoppa into such a milk toast! Are there any real men on this station?
ReplyDelete9:40, Thanks for the chuckle because all I could think of as I read it was, are you sure you are talking about WBOC. Because I would have thought you meant WMDT. I don't think they even have a men's room in their building any more.
ReplyDeleteMurph has one of those faces made for the radio!
ReplyDeleteIf anyone can remember...back in the day, there was a radio show called Party Line. You would call in things you had for sale. It gave people the chance to make a buck. Put something like that on the air. You can even send in pictures of your items. Wasn't like that years ago. Just saying!

And you can blame that on DingleBarry Tilmon.
So is the illegal alien chick still employed or has she taken advantage of her entitlements?

No, that's what he is. How stupid of a man to take a froggy type name from years ago and keep it when he lucked out and got a job on TV.

Funny but true.
6:10. People can do this with craigslist and ebay.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see Delmarva Life mentioned, I have been hesitant to do so. It should be cancelled also. It is mostly commercials and terrible music.
ReplyDeleteWe do need a show like this but a kind of show that would deal with more serious issues without watering down the issue at hand. In addition, thge station need s two people who will invoke a true enlightened discussion, again without watering it down. it seemed that they were afraid to hear real facts or the truth about certain issues and only repeated false statements or gave the standard liberal watered down version of the truth. WE CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS!!!
ReplyDelete10:04, I agree. However, with all due respect, DO YOU NOT GET IT?
ReplyDeleteThe local liberal media isn't interested in REAL topics and concerns. They MANUFACTURE it or HIDE it.
WHY is Salisbury News such a HUGE success, because we do just what you are suggesting, 365 days a year.
Delmarva Life show is a load of crap. They deceive people into thinking that WBOC generates all of the content and does “live” interviews within some of the stories such as the Angie's List segment among others. The deception is that Hoppa or Bryant is actual speaking to the interviewee and the interviewee is responding to Hoppa or Bryant’s questions. WRONG – A lot to the stories are shot months before in some location not even close to Delmarva by a company that sells the story to many news outlets.
ReplyDeleteHere’s how it works. “Canned” story has person explaining something, the interviewee pauses (it’s called a hole) for 30 seconds or so, Hoppa or Bryant (pretending to be looking at “live” interviewee) read the “scripted” question during that hole, and the question was sent along with the story. THERE IS NOT LIVE INTERACTION. Makes it look like WBOC shot the story when they had nothing to do with it.
