Yesterday we published the third article referencing one of Salisbury's Finest being charged with yet another lawsuit HERE.
If you count the individuals suing the City and this Officer there are now EIGHT people who have filed suit.
While one individual out there calls me a cop hater simply because I have broken ALL of these news stories, I guess it would be best in his eyes we simply COVER IT UP, just like the rest of your local media have done until Salisbury News came along.
You know, only tell you the good stuff, like the Chamber of Commerce and Liberal Politicians ask for. Well, we're not like the rest of the local media. We break stories and we tell the TRUTH.
I'm glad to see you found such interest in these stories and I'm especially glad that one individual gets to see just how responsive YOU have been to such a story. Salisbury News does NOT set the order of the Top 5 Posts, Google does.
Just because someone tells the TRUTH for a change, some idiot out there thinks Joe is a cop hater. I don't believe this for a minute. He has stuck up for the police before, just like he's sticking up for these who are filing suit. One bad apple can spoil a whole barrel and that is what is happening at the SPD. Wake up Ireton, what does it take?
ReplyDeleteNegative hiring, negative retention, failure to train, failure to supervise, the city is really racking up the liability on this one
ReplyDeleteWhat has happened ? Training was always number 1. Of course promotion standards were never based on training knowledge and experience or honor or integrity. This is a fact. So I understand how things can go wrong. It is not 1 bad apple - If this individual is a menace to the agency it should have been well documented - Leadership dropped the ball - That equates to several poorly trained lack lustered leaders.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a cop hater, but this a-hole is costing the tax payers a lot of money. Wait and see.
ReplyDeleteHere lately the police must not be screening their applicants very well to be getting these abusers of power.
ReplyDeleteFatboy Jon T , is trying to get a benefit party for the officer?.Lol
ReplyDeleteI was told if I fell & hurt myself on city sidewalks lacking maintenence by the city, or on any city property that I could NOT sue. Any truth?
ReplyDeleteWell when you have a do nothing in charge of recruitment what do you expect.
ReplyDeletePersons commenting on Salisbury News have a tendency to believe breaking the law is not wrong, if they are the ones caught breaking the law. Hence the hatred for speed cameras, radar, cops, obeying orders from an officer etc.
ReplyDeleteA person's attitude when stopped by a policeman or the area you are stopped in, or if it a few people or a mob are factors in the Officers attitude. The policeman always has to consider where he is, is the offender drunk, on drugs, carrying a weapon. The Officer has to stay in charge to stay safe. When an offender does not obey an Officer's request the atmosphere can change in a second.
I do think when the offender does not obey an Officer's request, the offender is asking for trouble. I was taught this by my parents, I taught my children to obey the police, my children have taught their children.
I'd rather be safe than a sorry fool. An Officer respects those that respect the law.

The police department and fire department is loaded with nothing but back stabbing good ole boys so that is how the promotions roll. It's not based on testing standards, it's based on who the chief wants to promote. The promotional testing is nothing but a front and always has been. The smart ones always could tell you ahead of time who was going to get promoted.
