ANNAPOLIS, MD – The latest independent poll finds Larry Hogan’s grassroots campaign for governor surged in late September, all but erasing a 14 point opponent Anthony Brown held just earlier (New York Times / CBS News survey). Conducted by the bipartisan Gonzales Research & Marketing of Arnold, Md. the poll shows that Hogan is now within a statistical dead heat with sitting Lt. Governor Anthony Brown, who leads 47 – 43 percent, with a 3.5 percent margin of error.
According Hogan Spokesman Adam Dubitsky, “This poll makes clear that Anthony Brown’s strategy to try to frighten Maryland women with millions of dollars in dishonest attack ads has backfired. So it is no surprise that Anthony Brown is now trying once again to change the topic to anything but his failed record on the economy.”
Hogan’s gains are all the more significant as it comes during non-stop barrage of negative ads by Anthony Brown’s campaign and the Democratic Governors Association which is spending millions to support a sitting lt. governor in a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans by two to one. Brown’s ads have been slammed by news outlets as wildly dishonest.
Brown just frightens me period!!!
ReplyDeleteI always scoffed at Brown's ads. They were completely unfounded. I enjoy Hogan's ads, where he talks about preserving the way of life on the eastern shore. At least he's not stooping to the level that Brown is, with horrid lies.
ReplyDeleteThe people of Maryland can't afford another Owemalley!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you poll everywhere but baltimore, prince georges and anne arundel counties hogan will win.
ReplyDeletebut he won't. brown will carry p.g. anne arundel and baltimore counties by millions of votes.
paint it how you want. hogan hasn't a chance to win this election.
and i haven't heard a word out of him making me want to go to the trouble of going to polls and vote for him.
Let's go Hogan !!! Move it and win this thing !!!
ReplyDeleteGuess Romney's pollsters found new jobs.
ReplyDeleteTell everyone they better get out and vote for Hogan!
ReplyDelete1:44 Hogan is pulling enough in the western shore counties, but he needs the eastern shore votes to push him over the top. Please vote, to many people think the race is already won or that their vote doesn't count. Get out and make a difference!
