Muslim player penalized by NFL for dropping to his knees in prayer after scoring a touchdown may also be fined by league

A Muslim player was penalized for dropping to his knees in prayer after scoring a touchdown.

Kansas City Chiefs safety Husain Abdullah received a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after he dropped to the ground and performed the Sajdah in the fourth quarter of last night's game against the New England Patriots.

Abdullah had just intercepted a pass from Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and returned it for a touchdown.

  1. NFL stated that there should have been no flag.

  2. NFL rule.... You will be flagged if you "go to the ground" in celebration. Not a religious penalty, just something to put out for you fools to stop paying attention to diseases entering our country.

  5. There is an exemption to the rule for religious reasons. The NFL has said it should not have been a penalty.

  6. NFL management is libtarded...screw him fine the hater...praying to satan should not be allowed...WAKE UP PEOPLE

  7. Fine him! The man had never done it before in all his years playing. Why start now with all the tensions in our country after beheadings? To push the Islamic agenda on national television. It's more than just his religious beliefs.

  8. Ban him for life!! Muslims are all terrorist and killers, we don't want them here in America!

  9. You're so smart 4:56. Really did you even see the game? Bother to look him up before you made your ignorant bigoted comment? The guy is a safety, it's his first NFL touchdown.

  10. Was it a religious act, or just a w I just got my first nfl touchdown? I,as a Catholic, would do that in the event of my first pro TD!

  11. i see players all the time look into sky as they do the sign of the cross.....& yet no fine for them. I feel that is same religious gesture as getting on ground as this guy did

  12. hey 5:22
It may be his first touch down , but it should be his last.
Pray in church or anywhere , but not during a televised game. Nothing more than a "see what I can do". He should be fined and have his a$$ kicked.

  13. There's no prayer rug, so it doesn't count. A Catholic would do this on his first Pro TD!

  15. What Christian based religion teaches violence ? Name any religion other than Islam that teaches violence is acceptable. Point made end of story

  16. Showboating, pure and simple.
"Hey, look at me,,, I'm a religious guy!"
The same goes for that idiotic kissing your thumb, pounding your heart, and waving to somebody in the sky (upper deck?) move.
To paraphrase the bible: "Do not make a public spectacle of your faith."
Thank god that Tebow is gone. A few more seasons and he would've been lighting red votive candles in the end zone after a touchdown.
I'm as religious as the next guy, but strongly feel that one's faith is one of the most personal matters in one's life. Praise the Lord quietly. Inwardly. He will hear you.
(One other thing: Husain Abdullah was (as far as I can figure from Google maps) pointing his BUTT toward Mecca. He could probably be beheaded for that.)

  18. Was he kneeling towards Mecca?
If not his prayer doesn't count.
For future reference, I suggest Muslim NFL players be allowed to carry a compass while in uniform.

  19. I'm so glad this country was founded on the principle of 'freedom of/from religion'. Some of you are a bunch of freaking hypocrites!!

  20. Religion has no place in the NFL. It's a sport, a game, entertainment for the masses. Religion always trying to ruin everything, they've done a good job at ruining the world already... leave football alone.

  21. The NFL gets what it asked for.

Now we have Sodomy in the locker room.

Now we have Satan worship on the field.

We have had Sex Worship, Manna Worship, and Idolatry Worship since the beginning of the NFL.

    Now we get Islam.

  22. Screw the NFL.

I truly believe it will lose its audience in another 10 years.
