This is the most unbelievable story of disgrace to the Fire Service I have ever seen. Check out their Website, THEY DEFENDED IT TODAY! Also a "local" (Delaware) Company.
This will send shockwave's through the other Departments with audits everywhere.

Looks like the BOE trained the FD?
ReplyDeleteThe most believable thing I have ever read. Gotta be a parody or something.
ReplyDeletehow could this lack of oversight have gone on? This is a real outrage and goes to show the "good ol' boy" mentality that all of the volunteer fire departments possess. This is TAXPAYER money folks!
ReplyDeleteWhat say you Westside ?
ReplyDeleteSound like something from Somerset county.
ReplyDelete$27,000 for RINGS?!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat, did they think they won the SuperBowl?
I've heard of lack of compliance and oversight, but this company takes the cake. Maybe two cakes.
How many of these folks are members of the local blue lodge?
ReplyDeleteThat is where the secrecy begins and the plans are made for embezzlement every time.
Look out Firmen, "whatch gonna do when they come for you", this is the most disgusting revelation I have seen in years.
ReplyDeleteshould get this company to audit the Town of Pittsville! I know an audit was done but havnt heard anything about it.
ReplyDeleteYour boy Ken Gaskins was prosecuted for stealing over $ 5000 from the Salisbury volunteers. That tells me what his connection was with you. Your no newsman. Your a one sided trouble maker. You just jumps from one person to another, week to week attempting to cause trouble for anyone who doesn't agree with you.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the same credit card shenanigans that the Wicomico County BOE does. Exact same thing.
ReplyDeleteYep . . .Bonnie Walston, Treasurer for Norman Conway - (both BOE officials). Norman appropriates the money and Bonnie spends it.
ReplyDelete9:14 PM Troublemaker? Thats rich.
ReplyDeleteSo in your mind holding the government accountable is troublemaking? Making sure that waste in government is exposed is troublemaking? Have you ever heard the expression "you reap what you sow"? How long do you think the citizens should remain blind to flagrant abuses being perpetrated by our local government?
We are in a financial crisis that is being ignored by every person that represents us and those people representing us are carrying on like its still pre-2008. There has been no slow down in spending. Every dept is still depleting their yearly budgets and when they run our of legitimate items to purchase they just start buying things for themselves. Its disgusting, its criminal and it needs to stop. For now most people are happy to let our legal system deal with it. But I doubt there will be any change.
But to you this is troublemaking. You are either voluntarily blind to the reality of our situation or you are a in on it. Either is inexcusable.
This is exactly what happens in the Salisbury Fire Department. I wish Maryland would audit their fire companies.
