‘Bias on Steroids’: This AP Headline Explains Why So Many Complain About Media Coverage of Israel

A 3-month-old baby girl was killed Wednesday when a car driven by a Palestinian man slammed into a group of bystanders at a Jerusalem light rail station, but the early headline of an Associated Press story on the incident drew criticism from pro-Israel media watchdogs who called it a perfect example of media bias against the Jewish state.

“Israeli police shoot man in east Jerusalem” was the initial headline of the AP story that ran on Yahoo and elsewhere, wording that ignored the killing of the baby, the Israeli police assessment that the attack was motivated by terrorism, and glossed over why police shot the man in the first place.

The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America, a pro-Israel media watchdog, captured a screenshot of the headline, which was later edited. However, some Middle Eastern websites, including Lebanon’s Daily Star and Turkey’s Daily Sabah kept the original headline that obscured the context behind what really happened.

  1. How many of us trust the Israeli Intelligence Agency - Mossad?

How many people understand their activities in the USA?

How many people realize our media is controlled by Jews with dual citizenship?

How many folks in the US Government (unelected positions) have dual citizenship with Israel?

Are you aware of the "loyalties" of Jewish people to their so-called homeland?

Might want to educate yourself about Judaism and Israel.

  2. 7:51, Israel is our only ally in the Middle East. God tells us to bless the Jewish people and He will bless us. We are admonished to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Israel is the land that God gave to the Jewish people.

  3. I have always categorized Israel as the loud mouth girl friend of the USA. The type of friend that makes trouble for her boyfriend. However her boyfriend is to stupid to see this and goes along.

There is little reason to hate Jews. There are many reasons to hate governments. And the Israeli government is no different from any other government, from the peaceniks in Switzerland to the maniac in North Korea to our own. They all want one thing, control. This is a game to them. One with few real consequences. That is unless you count dead citizens, which most of us do. Well governments don't. You are merely a statistic in someones powerpoint presentation. A number in a biased poll.

Their defense is strong. You can try and use logic to figure out what is going on but you are not likely to have much luck. The game is rigged and you and I will always be the losers.
