Obama: Ebola outbreak in West Africa is a U.S. national security priority

President Barack Obama says helping contain the current Ebola outbreak in West Africa is a U.S. national security priority. He says the U.S. military will help set up isolation units there. Troops will provide security for public health workers arriving to help. He asks Congress for another $30 million to help with expenses incurred by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The National Institutes of Health publishes research about the vaccine it's been testing on humans this month. It says tests on monkeys showed the vaccine was effective. But it wore off unless the chimps received a booster shot made from a different formula.

  1. WHOA! There's a total reversal not of current policy! I mean, the southern border is wide open with open invitations to all countries, yet the limit he proposes is.........oh, but if you have eboli, you can't come in?

Wow. That's going to stop them.

    HOW?

  2. Obama himself is a the biggest national security threat we have ever faced. He is a clear and present danger and none of us are safe as long as he is in charge.

  3. it tickles me that everytime there is an "issue" that comes up the president (or someone else) asks Congress for "X" amount of millions of dollars - in this case $30 million. Pray tell, someone please explain to me where our debt-ridden government gets this money? I wish I could just look at my budget and say to myself "I've got a problem so I think I will go print some more funds up to pay off the expense", How can our country keep doing this over and over and over without expecting a economical Armaddeon (sp)occur?

Obama wouldn't have been able to pass the security clearance prior to 2008 when you idiots voted for him. Then again in 2012 with the help of more and elaborate voter fraud.

  9. Then the troops will be exposed to it and bring it back here and it will spread even faster. I'm no expert but that sounds like a stupid idea. This sounds like an excuse to pull off some kind of funny business operation in Africa.

  10. Since this is a 'national security' issue I feel certain any documents associated with anything about it are going to be "Top Secret". Good luck getting a straight answer about ebola here in the US.
