GE Appliances Sold to Electrolux for $3.3B

AB Electrolux of Sweden, the parent company of the U.S. brands Electrolux and Frigidaire, has purchased GE Appliances for $3.3 billion dollars.

"The acquisition, which is our largest ever, strengthens our commitment to the appliance business and also provides Electrolux with the scale and opportunity to accelerate our investments in innovation and global growth," said Keith McLaughlin, President and CEO of Electrolux.
