Wicomico Public Library is excited to announce the Wall Breaking Ceremony for the new Education and Entrepreneur Center will take place during Whiteboard Wednesday on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, 6:00 pm at the Downtown Library. Participants should use the Market Street entrance, off parking lot 11. Look for the Yellow Door.
The Education and Entrepreneur Center will provide an open, flexible space for entrepreneur-focused activities, including training space, business center for conferencing and meetings and an idea generating space for business brainstorming. It will also provide small businesses, at-home businesses and start-ups with a low overhead networking space, access to equipment and a small conference room space for meeting with clients or vendors as well as with potential employees.
The educational training facility provides two classroom spaces for use in various trainings and workshops including Wor-Wic Community College Adult Education classes, ESL classes, computer and coding workshops, technology and software classes and resume and job search workshops.
This endeavor is a partnership of Wicomico Public Library, Salisbury-Wicomico Economic Development, Wicomico County and Wor-Wic Community College. Additional funding provided by the Gladys Martha Allen Fund for Education at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.
