Good Morning Vietnam, Dead Poet's Society, Hook (childhood nostalgia), Cadillac Man, Good Will Hunting, Patch Adams. I know what I'll be doing one day this weekend - Robin Williams movie marathon.
His recording of "Reality, what a concept" is among his early works, when I first started listening to him. Still have it on 8-track. Off the wall, 100 MPH comedy. Completely, totally blown away by the loss of such a talented person to such a tormenting disease. RIP, Robin :(
My opinion is that he was better at dramatic roles rather than comedic. I found his humor to be a little over the top. (That's me) He didn't do any drama that wasn't exceptional.
"Patch Adams", was my favorite movie and it was better than "Good Will Hunting" for which he won an academy award. I agree his greatest role was that of appearing to be happy!...always. Hint, no one is...ever.
Dead Poet's Society (filmed mostly at St Andrews School in Middletown, DE).

ReplyDelete1:06, Yeah, Patch Adams was another good one. So was Good Morning Vietnam. Heck, everything I have ever seen him in/on was spectacular.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if everyone got involved on this question, (even repeats) and expressed their favorite.

ReplyDeleteI saw "Popeye" 3 times before I saw it was Robin Williams! He was just Popeye all the way!
