Feds Won't Tell Texas School Districts How Many Unaccompanied Minors to Expect

HOUSTON, Texas -- This school year, Texas taxpayers will likely be on the hook for approximately $45 million to educate the wave of Central American children who entered the U.S. illegally during recent months. Thousands of unaccompanied minors are expected to attend Texas public schools this year. Despite this, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is unable to put plans in place for accommodating the minors--the federal government has not revealed the number of foreign students to expect in each school district.

A TEA spokeswoman told Breitbart Texas, "We just don't know at this point whether to expect the children to enroll or not. It's hard to plan. We keep hoping for some more definitive information, but we just don't have it at this point."

  1. It may be unknown to some or even most but, Texas school books are, for the most part, a model and are echoed throughout the country as texts used by students.
Now, this fiasco sheds an entirely new light on that, doesn't it? Just imagine what idiocy and liberalism is going to come to print and be distributed to our schools as these third world waifs are catered to in Texas.

  2. That's because they are clueless. Even if they know where the kids were supposed to go, they probably will go somewhere else. They will disappear into the sunset. Most "unaccompanied minors" are not minors and will be free running around the country doing their thing. The fed doesn't care anyways. These people will eventually be able to vote, and they usually vote Democrat.
