Bob Culver: A Total Class Act
While this was Mr. Culver's largest fundraising event, I tip my hat to this man for doing the right thing. Stay tuned Ladies & Gentlemen because I'm confident Bob will reschedule it for another time in the very near future.

Remember this when it is time to vote.
It's the right thing to do under the circumstances. What a sad time for so many people. Mrs. Harris was beloved by some many. My sincere sympathies go out to the family.

ReplyDeleteFrom what I've seen, Bob isn't afraid to stand up for the average guy. I'm sick of the good ole boy system. Ricky P. needs to go along with some on the council. I believe citizens will be more respected under Bob.
and yes, this was the right decision. Kudos to Bob for recognizing that politics isn't the most important thing. Not sure his democratic opponent would have had that much class.

ReplyDeleteWe didn't even know there was a fundraiser. Please be sure that his info gets posted well in advance of events so we can make plans to attend.
We think the Dems are going to fight dirty and we want to help Bob build his funds to get the truth out. We've made a donation to his campaign on line, but want to support his other activities too.

ReplyDeleteGood decision Bob. and to 3:19,, I'm with you on all but John Cannon and I can't see him in there again. He was a disaster last time and the citizens voted him gone. Not even sure why he is running....doesn't he realize we didn't want him then and don't want him now!

I hear you as well, but your other choice would be Laura Mitchell that pig is a disaster waiting to happen. This welfare slug serving on the Salisbury City Council has been a challenge to all the citizens of Salisbury and we can't have her further raping the tax payers of Wicomico County. Laura Mitchell and Josh Hastings are a disease and they are cancerous. Neither one of those two are worthy of serving on the County Council. We can't afford the dysfunction they bring to the City. Yes they, Josh Hastings is a member of the Wicomico County Democrat Club and he worked for Laura Mitchell's campaign as her treasurer and walked door to door.
All Democrats are constantly mooching off the hard working tax payers and they have no problem reaching in your pocket taking you last hard earned dollar. That last dollar that would feed your new baby or your starving grandmother.
Bite the bullet and take John Cannon for this term and we can all work hard for the next election to put forward a better candidate.
No one is perfect and you can't please everyone. Sometimes you have to pick the lesser of the two evils. And John Cannon is a far less evil than Laura Mitchell by far.

I believe everyone knows that Rick Pollitt has had more than enough time to try and stear Wicomico out of the financial kaos.
ReplyDeleteFact is, he will leave office with the Wicomico's finances in shambles. Just look at the carry forward prior year fund balances, they have diminished to catastrophic levels and our populace has no ability to replenish it other than dramatic tax increases. There simply are no businesses. And they will not come to this State because of its hostile reputation.
I say give Bob Culver a chance to prove himself. Pollitt has had way to much time and didn't perform.

I am willing to give the Reps. a try to see what they can do. I'm ready to see some cuts and less handouts. I am tired of the county employees who act like they are doing you a favor. I personally can't afford to support this County much longer. Someone or something needs to stop the bleeding.

You are right, Cannon is the lesser of the two evils. Would NEVER vote for Laura Mitchell. Truthfully, Joe Holloway has the citizens best interest at heart.....the others have their own agenda!!
ReplyDeleteI understand that some people don't like either John Cannon or Matt Holloway. However, if the good people of this county refuse to vote for either of them, it's essentially a vote for Laura Mitchell.
ReplyDeleteI may disagree with Cannon and M. Holloway on a lot of things. However, I agree with them a lot more than I agree with Laura Mitchell.
You don't have to think Cannon and M. Holloway are perfect. All you have to do is realize they are light years better than Mitchell.
Vote John Cannon and Matt Holloway on November 4 for the at-large seats.
