Wednesday at the daily press briefing, ABC's chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl asked if President Barack Obama was willing to return the political donations about "a number of the president top donors who have profited from corporate inversion," which Karl noted was a practice the president "condemned."
Principal deputy press secretary Eric Schultz replied, "No."
Jonathan Karl was referencing a report from Bloomberg News that calls into question Obama criticisms of major corporations for being "economically unpatriotic" for using offshore mergers to change their home base and reduce tax rates to those of foreign countries hungry for investment that have lower rates.
