SAN JOSE (KPIX 5) — There’s a new app in Silicon Valley — conservatarianism.
It’s the app that conservative Senator Rand Paul is pushing. He wants to join forces with local techies.
But how can technology and liberty flourish side by side? Paul’s answer, “shrink government.”
“Is government inherently stupid?” the Kentucky Republican the audience at the Lincoln Labs Reboot 2014. “I say no, but it’s a debatable question.”
Since Paul’s visit a new political term is being coded — the conservatarian… part conservative, part libertarian.

Rand Paul will screw this all up when he tries to appeal to the religious conservatives. It is the downfall of the Republican primaries and it gives us poor candidates.
ReplyDeleteHe should stick to the libertarian positions of live and let live, no interfering in the lives of others.
Rand Paul is more libertarian than conservative.
ReplyDeleteRecently he spoke at U of CA Berkeley a bastion of liberalism and the standing ovation was on going and deafening. Students lined the streets waving and clapping when he left. The sendoff wasn't anything faculty and staff had ever seen before.
This surely made them a nervous wreck.
and the problem is? We should have more people in office with these views instead of the political hacks we have now!
ReplyDeleteJust look at your local politicians! I rest my case!
