City of Salisbury / DHCD To Offer Downtown Revitalization Grants

Salisbury Mayor, James Ireton, Jr., is pleased to announce the opening of the 2014 funding round for the City of Salisbury Rehabilitation Grants for Commercial Building Improvements in Downtown Salisbury. The funding round will open on Monday, June 30, 2014. Applications will be available beginning on that date at the Office of Business and Community Development, 125 North Division Street, Room 104, Salisbury.

Completed funding applications must be received (not postmarked) by the office of Business and Community Development by no later than 4:30 p.m. on September 12, 2014. Funding for this grant program is being provided by the Community Legacy Program of the MD Dept. of Housing & Community Development (DHCD). Total 2014 funding awarded to the City by DHCD for the rehabilitation grant program is $100,000. The maximum amount any single individual / business entity may request in this competitive funding round is $20,000. Five grants will be awarded to downtown application winners for improvements both inside and outside that business.

    Isn't this kind of corrupt using this press release as a campaign stunt? Jim Ireton is a snake and this is political corruption.
