Black Democrats Tell Thad Cochran: We Own You Now

Nothing in life is free. And now that Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) was able to narrowly beat his Tea Party rival, due to thousands of black Democrats who crossed party lines to vote in the GOP primary runoff, his new constituency is looking to cash in on their influence.

In their minds, Cochran, who is in line to chair the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee if Republicans take back the Senate, is now a part of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC)--and should vote like a CBC member.

According to Politico, "Members of the Congressional Black Caucus are talking about what they want Cochran to do" if he gets re-elected for another six-year term. Their wishlist includes "maintaining funding for food stamps, beefing up programs that help poor blacks in Mississippi and even supporting the Voting Rights Act."

  1. Why is this not being investigated? There was voter fraud and many voters who were not allowed to vote in the run off did... What is wrong with this country?

  2. Democrats crossing party lines to drag the candidate back to the other side.

If Cochran capitulates - he'll be just another RINO showing that he really didn't deserve to get reelected to a Republican seat. If he doesn't capitulate, the Democrats that supported him will have a hissy fit!

Sounds like he wasn't the right guy for the job in the first place!

  3. He could have a bit of a problem getting in...
A black preacher is now alleging he paid black voters $15 a pop to vote. Cochran's campaign stiffed him on $16K he was promised.

  4. Oh blow it out your ears black caucus. Black politicians are useless as evidenced by the complete decline of not only the black race in general but in the black neighborhoods. Facts do not lie but black politicians do and it's all they do well is lie.
Black voters would best be served to take off their blinding glasses and start voting smart instead of based on race.
