@8:13 - A colleague of mine was there with his children. The only warning they had was the weather alert app on his phone going off. They got out of the camper moments before it was completely crushed by falling trees. :(
We went there years ago and storms that come across the bay come quickly. The kids were at the pool hall and jumped in the truck to go get them. Good thing we did they were closing and made all the people stand on the porch in the storm so they could lock up. Many people lost their awnings because of the heavy rain. Some were stuck at the pavilion til the storm passed.
Looks pretty much like it did before. My people always camp there.Glad they weren't there today.
ReplyDelete3:44 are you trying to be funny or just ignorant to peoples tragedy?

Thank you. You beat me to it.
I was at Assateague Island and I could hear the rumble and thunder from the south.
ReplyDeleteDid they have any warning? I am sorry for any injuries and damage caused, it had to be absolutely frightening. Have a little compassion people.

ReplyDeleteI was there. There wasn't time to do anything but pray.
