While conducting a patrol of the premise, Deputies recognized the odor of burnt marijuana in the parking lot. An individual exited a vehicle who was identified as Thomas James Logan Jr., 22 years old from Capitol Heights, Maryland. Logan stated he was smoking marijuana and there was marijuana in the vehicle. Deputies recovered the marijuana and Logan was placed under arrest. Logan gave Deputies a false name and when his true identity was discovered, Logan was found to have a warrant out of Prince George's County, Maryland. Logan was transported to the District Court Commissioner and released on $3,500 unsecured bond pending trial.
Upon arrival deputy’s detected an odor of marijuana coming from a vehicle located in the parking lot. Deputy’s made contact with the driver, Loketo Sylvester Wilson, 19, of Washington, D.C., and the rear passenger, Randolph Williams III, 25, of Washington, D.C. A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle and deputy’s located marijuana belonging to Wilson and Williams. Wilson and Williams were arrested and later released on criminal citations for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams
On June 7, 2014 at approximately 2350 hours Deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office were on foot patrol in the area of Baltimore Ave and Somerset St, Ocean City, Maryland.
While on patrol deputy’s made contact with an individual, Nicholas Nashon Stubbs, 21, of Hagerstown, MD, due to a strong odor of marijuana coming from his person. A pat down was conducted and Stubbs later admitted to having marijuana in his pocket. Stubbs was arrested and later released on criminal citation for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams.
While on patrol deputy’s made contact with a vehicle emitting a strong odor of marijuana. A probable cause search was conducted and deputy’s located marijuana and numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. The suspects, Justin Michael Smeltzer, 18, of York, PA and Brandon Michael Romero, 19, of York, PA, were arrested and later released on criminal citations for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were transported to the district court commissioner. Disposition unknown at the time of this release.
Christopher Kiel Braman, 24, Catonsville, MD

Braman was released on a criminal citation
A probable cause search was conducted and the following individual was arrested and charged.
Alexis Marie Nolan, 18, Beltsville, MD
Possession of marijuana less the 10 grams.
Nolan was released on a criminal citation.
The Deputy initiated a traffic stop. While speaking with the operator, the Deputy detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and the following individual was arrested and charged.
Shyheim Lamar White, 20, Cambridge, MD.
Possession of marijuana less then 10 grams.
White was released on criminal citation
The Deputies initiated a traffic stop. One of the males failed to obey orders to stop and fled on foot. The Deputies initiated a foot pursuit that lasted for approximately 100 yards. During the foot pursuit, the Deputies observed the suspect make a throwing motion with his hands. The Deputies deployed their agency issued X26 Taser and after a brief struggle were able to take the suspect into custody.
A canvas of the area was conducted and a .44 cal. magnum revolver loaded with 6 live rounds was recovered and seized. During further investigation, the suspect stated he had ran because he did not want to be caught with the firearm.
The suspect was identified as Wendell Lamont Turner, 19,of Salisbury, MD and was charged with the following charges: wear and carry a dangerous weapon concealed on his person, carry and transport a handgun upon and about their person, intentionally resist a lawful arrest, willfully fail to obey a reasonable and lawful order of a law enforcement officer.
On June 08, 2014 at approximately 11:45 pm, Deputies were conducting a foot patrol on S. Baltimore Ave. in the area of Somerset St. In Ocean City. The Deputies approached two male individuals that they noted smelled of marijauna. The Deputies detained the individuals and a probable cause search was conducted and marijauna was located on one of the individuals.

McFadden was released on criminal citation.

ReplyDeleteas any judge in the three counties will tell you: if you want to smoke weed, do it in your house, not your car and don't cause a ruckus to bring cops to your door.
ReplyDeleteI would like to know what the total amount of marijuana was seized the entire week. Bet it did not amount to a pound. What it did do was tie up a bunch of LEOs at a time that could have turned volatile at any time> Certaninly not against enforcement of the law but ........
