Toddler critically burned during SWAT raid

ATLANTA — The mother of the toddler injured after a flashbang was thrown into the home where their family was staying told Channel 2 Action News Friday morning that the boy remains in a medically-induced coma.
UPDATE:DA to investigate SWAT raid

“He is in a medically induced coma and he is paralyzed. I hope he’s not going to remember this. I know his sisters, his mommy and his daddy will never forget this," the boy's mother, Alecia Phonesavanh, said. "Our kids have been through enough this year. This is just more trauma that they didn’t need, and I just wish there was something better I could do to make it better for him. Wrong place, wrong time. There’s nothing I can do about it."

The family's home in Wisconsin recently burned down, prompting their trip to Atlanta to visit family.

“There’s nothing we can do to change the situation, my husband and I would gladly both give up our lives just to see him not like this. He’s such a happy little boy, and to see him like this laying there, not moving, it’s heartbreaking. We just want to hold him and we can’t," Phonesavanh said.

  1. then I suggest you all start fighting back or firing back with guns and if not, then STFU about it and lay there and take in the back end like the rest of us...

You have crooked cops doing crooked investigations for more crooked people, so who do you think will win that fight?

You know, we all could rise up together and we do outnumber all the govt workers put together... They cannot stop us if we ALL joined but sadly that won't happen... you people rather get shot and killed and burned and paralyzed and anything else by the cops... so I have no remorse for you...

Where were all of you when we told you this would happen, is happening and going to get worse? oh that's right, you called me crazy, a kook, oh and I remember you all saying tin foil hat wearing man? well gee who was right and who was wrong yet again?

Let me point out two facts everyone should know:
1)It is not a conspiracy if you live in it and can see it and the like...
2)you can't fix stupid!!!!! and that is what all of you are just plain stupid...

you all will see soon enough, soon there will be no one to help you, fight for you or stand up with you it will be to late then...

Do you even know what a flash bang is and how and when it is used?

what does that have to do with anything? the BABY is in a medically induced COMA because of the flash bang going off on her as she lay in her crib. what asshole would even throw a flashbang into a crib? he has every right to be angry, as all of us SHOULD BE.

My God, and some numbskull even called him a kook for speaking out about it. he is right, some of you are just plain STUPID.

  4. Maybe one should not bring a baby to stay in a house where illegal drugs are being sold.

  5. I'm 442, and for your information, a flash bang is used to shock and awe everyone in a house in a situation such as a surprise drug raid or hostage/ standoff situation. Now, if you think about it, either the cops had the wrong dwelling, or she was staying with crackheads primed for a legit raid, and it is usually done in the dead of night for the officers' safety.Without scanning the room with flashlights to affect an element of surprise. So, if such a case, the police would have reviewed the occupants of the house and where they slept.

It is unfortunate that there were added guests in the unit not accounted for, and a horrific accident was the result. No one anticipated this or did anything overly harmful on purpose. ACCIDENTS HAPPEN, and many are horrible.

That's why, without all the facts in place, 354's rant that we should all take up arms and outnumber the government and kill them all is just a tad over the top.

And that's what I have to say about that.

  6. This is a symptom of cops just being afraid of imaginary threats!
They are pussy cats. Law enforcement legends in their own minds perceive everyone is out to stop them from enforcing the law.

They are simply paranoid and make up the imaginary threat to garner pity and esteem when they deserve neither.
They are mercenaries that police for profit.
    Sick people. (like 4:46)

well thanks for admitting who you are? ur still a stupid apologetic boot licker but whatever.

I'm sure most of us know what a flashbang is, so you get no extra points for that. Why you even bring that up is more worthless drivel meant to distract and diffuse?

If the cops were truly watching the house, the would have, or at least SHOULD HAVE, seen more people at the house. There was a uhaul in the driveway, car seats in a van they had to walk past to kick in the door, evidence of a baby present, etc.

When cops raid a place they do not go in blind. They indeed use flashlights and probably night vision equipment. After all, they choose the time of the raid.

And what was the raid for to begin with? Kilo's of coke perhaps? A few tons of pot? NO. And to top it off, the guy that they were looking for was not even there.

And from what I read, a judge did not even issue the warrant. He said a multijurisdictional drug unit issued a warrant and organized the SWAT operation.

How is that even possible, or legal?

And Mr. Forrest Gump, the facts are out there. Some just ignore them or pretend they don't exist.

Taking up arms and killing them all, as YOU mention, is not at all over the top. It is becoming more and more justified and eventually needed.

FYI, this would not be the first time cops lied to obtain a warrant, either search or otherwise.

How many innocent people, their pets and now BABIES have to be harmed or KILLED before enough is enough?

Seriously dude, you must either be a cop or as thick as a brick. And not just you. Anyone who is aware of just a few, not all, just a FEW of these tactics and outcomes from out of control cops, and are not appalled, scared and outraged, are just living in their own little world.

At least the D.A. there is investigating. I'm sure that will be another whitewash as well as most of all the others.
