The family or whoever told the police that Rodney walked to work every day was incorrect. A van picked him up every morning around 7:30 am. On that morning the driver of the van sat waiting for Rodney to come outside. When he didn't, the driver called Rodney's mother told him that Rodney had already left. Afterward the driver rode by the park to see if Rodney was walking so he could pick him up. He didn't see him so he went on to drop off the others at work.
The on scene investigator needs to go back to Investigation school. Why would he make such a statement so early on?
