Request the names and money paid to people working for the bd of ed on a contractual basis. That IS taxpayer money. Some mighty familiar names at some considerable expense to the rest of us. Maybe the Daily Times would run a story.
ReplyDeleteThese folks just get bored then eat???
ReplyDeleteYou are picking on the school bookkeepers who pay all the bills for the school.
ReplyDeleteFrom all of these reports, Market Street seems to be making a fortune off of the county tax payers!
ReplyDeleteJoe here is a thought, how about asking eveyone of these places to quit taking BOE credit cards.
ReplyDeleteanon 8 56
ReplyDeleteRead the post there is a discloser to that fact.
The sad truth here is that these people do not care, Pollitt or the the BOE, keep this information coming. We look forward to it every Monday.
ReplyDeleteno accountability! This is obscene for the taxpayers to pay for these folks to stuff their guts like this!
ReplyDeleteI would like to know how Mackes uses his million dollar slush fund in his departments
ReplyDeleteJust how smart are the voters in Wic. Co. DUH
ReplyDeleteSome of the Domino's and other pizza charges are more than likely for the out of school time out (after school) programs where they feed the youth pizza once a week.
ReplyDeletegluttony is a sin
ReplyDelete10:56, That's easy to see and maybe forgivable. The crime here is the $5-6 for coffee for one at Starbucks, and $20 lunch for one at Backstreet and the many other similar charges for single person coffee an lunches. Also, weekending the restaurants at $750 is a little crooked, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteSo Pollitt likes Starbucks, this guy needs to go.
ReplyDeleteJust saw a question about the county council on another thread. Do they get these cards as well?
ReplyDeleteEvery credit card needs to be turned in immediately. If they need to use the card then a written request will need to be provided with a supervisor's signature. Then when the credit card is returned, a detailed receipt will be turned in with each expenditure. I'm sick of buying alcohol and meals for everyone, especially the expenditures that occur when school is not even in session. Then an auditor needs to review each expenditure to ensure that it is a legitimate purchase. If it is deemed not a legitimate purchase, then the employee will have that amount deducted from their paycheck. Obviously the privilege of having a credit card has been abused so now it's time to take the credit cards away since they can't be trusted. Wouldn't it make more sense to spend that money on things needed like books, pens, pencils, paper, etc. I don't see any purchases on here for any of those types of supplies. I only see people who think they are entitled to go out and spend money on a meal and drinks for themselves. Bottom line is it is theft from the children plain and simple.
ReplyDeleteFood is a big reward for kids and adults. Time for it to stop.
