Looks like someone was bar hopping on 9/20/13 which was a Friday.
ReplyDeleteMojo's $ 30.00 9/20/13
Market Street Inn $23.88 9/20/13
Market Street Inn $92.40 9/20/13
Let me guess...Start out a Mojo's for a couple of drinks. Then start feeling like the night is young so decides to head over to Market Street and grabs a few more drinks.
Then maybe meet up with some other County friends as he was about to leave and decided to stay and order some more drinks and maybe a bite to eat.
All speculation of course on my part.
Oh and lets not forget all the stops at WaWa on that same day..
Wawa $5.74 9/20/13
Wawa $4.25 9/20/13
Wawa $5.74 9/20/13
9:12, of course you are just speculating, but of course, Bob, you are hoping everyone ASSumes it to be true. And of course, every charge out of the Executive's Office can only be Pollitt, because we all know he is the only person working in that office. But who needs facts such as who and what circumstances when we can make a point (however invalid) through innuendo and "speculation."
ReplyDeleteIt is unbelievable.. call them out, post the facts and it doe snot even phase them. If people do not wake up and vote for change in November we are toast.
ReplyDeleteThey are spending locally!!! Helping everyday to boost local economy. Good Job!!
ReplyDelete9:12 Glad you have all the intel on these charges. Looks like you just want to blame Rick for them all. Anyone with common sense knows better.
ReplyDeleteDo any of these folks ever feed themselves? Correct me if I'm wrong but don't these people get a paycheck?
ReplyDeleteAmen 1122
ReplyDeleteAll you can get at Ruth Crists for that amount is dessert and coffee!
ReplyDelete10:18 AM - you are really funny! Spending, your tax money, locally. That's why, your, taxes are going up and you think they've done, a good job. You are sooooo funny.
ReplyDeleteWhy do so many of the amounts end in $XX0.00? Anyone else see that as odd?
ReplyDeleteOK, Rick and Dr F: I would bet that you and/or your staff are monitoring this site. What say you? We demand that you respond!
12:25, you demand away! What a joke!

Because they left a big tip and evened out the dollar. I do it when I eat out.
This is why I am selling my homes in wicomico county .
ReplyDeleteSo someone keeps posting Rick isn't the only one in the Executive office...so your point is? NONE of them should be eating and drinking on our dime!!!
ReplyDeleteAn occasional recognition of VOLUNTEERS or a rare staff thank you is understandable, but to charge your coffee to the tax payers and all these random lunches and other things - RIDICULOUS.
I've been told that some of our local establishments write their receipts to look like food purchases when the county employees are really buying drinks.. because they have "made friends" with certain high level employees, they are covering for them at tax payer expense.
Just one more reason Bob Culver will get his chance to see if the Executive system even works in our county. All I've seen is needless added expense and poorer management...not sure if we don't need to rid ourselves of this anchor that has been created.
When you are the CEO, County Executive, president, Director, etc. Regardless if others in the office are spending the money, the buck stops here, you have to be a leader and stop wasteful spending. Either be a part of the solution or you are the problem. Now step up to the plate Rick and take ownership and stop anymore of this thievery.
ReplyDeletethe IRS would slam a business for that. that is tax free income for them. it should be added to their W-2 not to mention it's stealing from the taxpayers. hang them high. i work hard and i have to buy my own food.
ReplyDeleteFunny. Twisted Pretzel is owned by one of Robert Langans employee's spouse.
ReplyDeleteShame, these people should be looking out for our best interests, not theirs.criminal!
ReplyDeleteAnyway to break down the county exec office to people as you did the BOE? I'd like to know who not to vote for.
ReplyDeleteLet's just give the teachers a raise already! Not a $250 stipend. It's been 5 years without a cost of living increase and raise
ReplyDeleteThese clowns are begging for an audit! Considering they are spending money that at least partially comes directly from the county - the county auditor should be conducting an audit of that portion - the State should be conducting an audit on their portion also.
ReplyDeleteMr Culver, the hopes of taking this place away from being the definition of the armpit of Maryland rest on you!
If they don't allow it to be done locally, the State and/or Fed will come in.
We can only hope
For some of these people that are new to government employment - if you were still at your former employer - you would have been terminated for this kind of spending...or maybe you were!

ReplyDeleteThe crap starts at the top , he his the leader , follow by example.
Every boss is not a leader.
ReplyDeleteCome on ... you eaters and drinkers. You got some splainin to do.
