With the news that the average wait time for new patients seeking a primary care doctor at the VA Maryland Health Care System is 81 days, the fourth-longest at facilities examined in a nationwide federal audit, Senator Barbara Mikulski talks about why Congress is working to overhaul the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Mikulski says they, in the Senate, are working on legislation that will help to shorten the wait time for new primary care VA patients.
Mikulski says there's good and bad news regarding Maryland patients involved in the VA wait list. The bad news from audit is that the wait time here in Maryland is 81 days for new primary care patients. The good news is that the wait time for existing patients is as low as 4 days.

These people need to be fired, and competent people who can and will do their jobs hired in their place.
