Maryland Zoo Will Ban Smoking On Grounds

BALTIMORE (AP) -- The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore will ban smoking on its grounds.

The ban takes effect July 1. The zoo says the ban applies to all tobacco products, including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and alternative smoking products or other smoking devices, including e-cigarettes.

Smoking in the zoo's buildings was already prohibited by Maryland law.

  1. Banning e-cigs is like banning boiling water on your stove. It's just vapor. Next they will not allow you outside on a cold day if they see steam vapor coming out of your mouth. There will be a lot of football games canceled.

  3. see what happens when you let them get their foot in the door. first it was a health reason so we got indoor bans..outside smoking does no harm to people who don't smoke... it may annoy them but poses no second hand health risk ....these Nazi tactics must stop!..people who cheer for this kind of erosion of freedom do not realize the ramifications for other things that are soon to follow..

no they don't. as long as this crap happens to 'the other guy', they will keep cheering.

Little do they realize they are also on 'the list'. They are unwilling or too stupid to see that. All they know right now is that they get to impose their will against their neighbors, via the corrupt government.

That's a blade that cuts both ways.
