(Pikesville, MD) The Maryland State Police are actively seeking military veterans from all branches of service to continue their career by joining the ranks of Maryland’s Finest.
In alignment with Governor Martin O’Malley and Lt. Governor Anthony Brown’s recent announcement of Operation Hire: Maryland’s 100 Day Veteran Hiring Challenge, the Maryland State Police has produced a one minute public service announcement. The purpose of the video is to showcase the diverse job opportunities available for military veterans. The video can be viewed on the Maryland State Police Facebook page and You Tube channel.
“We welcome military veterans interested in law enforcement employment,” said Colonel Marcus L. Brown, Superintendent of the Maryland State Police. “Veterans bring positive skills to the job including leadership, physical fitness, discipline and technical training. The dedicated men and women who serve our country and those who serve our state embody the same values of integrity, fairness and service. Military service is a natural crossover into the Maryland State Police.”
For anyone interested in joining the ranks of the Maryland State Police, information can be found atwww.mdsp.org/careers or by calling 410-653-4430.
no easier way to militarize your department than to hire ex military.
ReplyDeleteThe dept isn't militarized.
ReplyDeleteUh huh. The military. Lets fill the ranks of the police department with people who are familiar with all the military weapons the police are acquiring.
ReplyDeleteThrow in some PTSD and some blind obedience and all that's left to do is produce some red armbands with a swastika and lightning bolt.
bad idea, they have been hiring ex military for quite some time and look at all the abuses that have resulted from that.
