A new health epidemic is sweeping the country, and doctors warn it poses a grave threat to millions of Americans.
The number of people suffering from nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is skyrocketing, and experts believe that the consumption of high fructose corn syrup may be fueling the crisis.
Over the past two decades, the incidence of fatty liver disease – also called nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) – has doubled. In advanced cases, a liver transplant is a patient's only hope.
Everything you put in your mouth goes through the liver. It's not just HFC that's an issue but every other chemical that is added to the 'food' we eat. This why many cancer patients, with cancers that originated elsewhere finally end up succumbing to metastasis liver cancer. Those diseased cells that weren't killed by chemo/radiation are looking for a compromised area of the body and end up attaching themselves to the liver.
ReplyDeleteMy father passed away from liver cancer (fatty liver). He was diagnosed with fatty liver about 22 years before he passed away. During that period, they told him to just "control" it. Once you are diagnosed with liver cancer, a transplant is rarely an option. The tumors have to be a certain size, which then involves shrinking them down. By then, you are more than likely to succumb early to the cancer. Its awful, I wish it on no one.
