Just Who Is The Wizard Of Oz In Maryland?

There IS someone behind a certain curtain but who might that person be?

I'll start with this. Do you know what country is the #1 producer of heroin is in the world? That would be Afghanistan. Hmmmmm, let's think about that for a minute.

While Americans are simply way too busy these days to look into stats, here on a local level there isn't a single Police Officer or a single States Attorney who would deny that heroin from Delaware to the Eastern Shore of Virginia who would deny that heroine availability or use is up by 600%, OR MORE.

Here we are fighting wars around the world and the one place that provides all this heroin happens to be the very place we've been occupying for the past 14 years, hmmmmm! Who's behind that curtain?

If Americans had more time they'd start to challenge just how all this heroin is mysteriously arriving to America, just how addicting it is, how certain crime is up a good 400%, yet no one wants to talk or think about it.

I have spoken to several law enforcement officers who are now being challenged by Eastern Shore States Attorneys on CHARGES these officers have filed against certain drug dealers and the States Attorneys are actually siding with the drug dealers.

I have followed some cases against individuals who have little to no record of criminal history yet they're getting massive sentences. Drug dealers, (even some on probation) who do have a criminal history are getting off with far lower sentences.

You have to wonder just what the heck is going on around here any more. States Attorneys telling Police Officers that they know certain Judges won't accept the charges because of words like "will" or "shall".

Let's go back to when a young adult finally makes the decision to become a Police Officer, to serve and protect. They choose to go into that profession because they want to make a safer and better community. They go through the Police Academy and they learn the LAW. When they come out they very quickly learn that what they were taught in the Academy isn't exactly how things are done here on the streets, it's a fact.

Then they go out and make good arrests and one after the other, the charges are dropped. In the end it flat out discourages these Police Officers. They didn't join the force to run RADAR and catch speeders.

Now, here's the important part of my point of view. I have always said that people like Mike Lewis and Barbara Duncan do NOT want to lower crime, it's BAD for business. You may not like me saying such a thing but it is how I honestly feel. If crime was in fact lowered, if there were multiple DRUG STINGS each year, crime would go way down.

Instead we have Officers patrolling the Bypass looking for the out of town drug runners going from Florida to New York. That doesn't help us locally but it does allow a particular person to pound their chest and make it look like they took a big bite out of crime. It's complete BS on a local level. Do we really need more Officers? Or do we need to look at how these Officers are actually managed.

Doing a drug sting once every several years doesn't stop drugs. When is the last time your local media did an article on whether  crime was up or down in the COUNTY? Oh, that's right, they NEVER have. Hmmmm, I wonder who's behind that curtain?

Now don't get me wrong. The States Attorneys Office is doing a fantastic job with what they are delivered. However, their playing judge and jury BEFORE cases ever get to the judge, is in my opinion, criminal in itself.

These Officers risk their lives trying to protect us. They are taught to be PROACTIVE and go after these dealers and nowadays their arrests are thrown out because certain people believe a local Judge will say the "will" or "shall" changes their view of the case.

Police Officers are losing INTEREST in what they do. They are being forced to become discouraged. Why arrest that dealer if he's just going to walk. Instead they should pull people over for not wearing a seat belt. Yeah, that's why they went to school and then the Academy to become a Police Officer.

More importantly, WHO IS THE WIZARD BEHIND THE CURTAIN? Someone is setting these rules and I, (for one) would love to know at what level it comes from. I don't want to speak for you but I would think ALL of us would like to see these drug dealers off the streets. Instead, all we get is, crime is up and we need more Officers. Well, NOW YOU KNOW WHY CRIME IS UP. Now you know that our leaders are not doing their job. IF they had competition they would be out of business almost immediately. How convenient that there is not only no competition but that your local Media refuses to tell you the TRUTH about the actual crime rate over the past 8 years.

Ireton tells the public that crime is down 40%, or whatever he says. It's a load of crap Ladies & Gentlemen. If you had three murders last year and it dropped to one, yes, crime is down. However, when you had 400 burglaries and thefts last year and you are now up to 4,000, is crime really down? Those are NOT actual figures but the percentages aren't far off.

Heroin is a HUGE problem and not only do we desperately need the distribution to END, we MUST protect our children from these dealers giving them free hits to get them addicted.

Our complete system is failing us and we need to know who the WIZARD is behind the CURTAIN!

  1. We keep trying to bust "the big guys" of heroin distribution, but it's all an exercise in futility. As an arrest occurs on the bypass of a courier, three more drive by and thumb their noses at us.
As a low level perp is NP'd in court to turn state's evidence and lead to bigger fish, the fish are breeding at a rate faster than we can catch them.
As one mid-level distributor is put away (a rarity in itself) three more pop up to take his place.
And then there's the availability of the product, imported from places where poppies grow in profusion. Tons of it are imported each year. No amount of drug sniffing dogs or wily investigators are going to put a stop to it.
In the end, it's all just a ruse. The "Drug War" is an abject failure. It's now just a money and legend maker for everyone concerned (police departments, defense attorneys, prosecutors, jails, et al) and no one can come up with an idea to stop it without disemboweling the golden goose.
Until someone does, and policy and practice continue as they are, nothing will change for the better, and more of our kids will become lying, stealing lost souls with the next dose always on their minds; kids doomed to a revolving door of jail and rehab, doomed to torment their families, and doomed to being far less than they could be.

  2. They want the herion on the streets! It is big money for govt. Thats part of the reason for cracking down on legitement pain killers. When a person who needs pain meds and can't get them legally they will turn to the streets and herion is cheap and plentiful. This keeps all the people employed by govt to arrest, prosecute and then send them to jail or treatment employed! Take the drug off the street less people in court paying fines, less in jail, less in govt run rehab centers and classes, that would put a whole lot of people out of work!

  4. To know who the Wizard is, you have to be a senior member. Good luck with that.

  5. Profits from heroin are what fund our nation's covert operations in the shadows. There is no public budget that can be used as evidence of the corruption.

  6. Tickets, tickets, tickets! Money, money, money! More tickets = more money for the state. Officers/deputies go to court and are paid with local tax dollars but the money goes to the general fund of the state. Oh the state gives grants for overtime for DUI and aggressive driving patrol but they make more from the fines generated by the arrests and tickets than they pay out in overtime costs. A massive ROI you won't find anywhere in the stock market. All about money.

  7. The trade is based on well-proven business models that guarantee supply and utilize an Amway-like distribution scheme. The big operators own Caribbean islands, while the little hopefuls come and go like minnows.
It will not be undone. It can only be modified to take it out of the Black Market into the Open Market.
Where there is money to be made, it will be made, regardless of opposition, especially weak and disorganized opposition.

  9. Go to the courts and see what happens. There is no truth in sentencing. Blame the politicians and judges. Keep giving low sentences and wonder why we have a problem. Oh because it's not a crime of violence. Where I come from selling poison is a crime of violence. Wake up people blame officials you voted in.
