Just like booze and ciggy-butts - they can easily be purchased elsewhere....
These Annapaholes seem to have forgotten some basic geography about the socialist republic of MD....there are very few places that are not close to a neighboring state line. I'll bet even the Dumocrats buy stuff out of state when they come across it....
Defeats their own purpose - and shows they don't want to pay the taxes they enact.
After seeing the statistics on the alcohol sales - you would think they would wise-up...never mind, that takes too many active brain cells - that they don't have combined!
I guess "your guy" had nothing to do with this, either, right?? I told you that our "leaders" have NO CHOICE but to raise taxes, fees, surcharges, fines, levies, etc. They have spent every dime the next 5 generations will earn. I use the term "leading" in the most liberal of interpretations, too. They should be ashamed. You should be, too.
When I went to my Grandmothers funeral not that long ago I traveled to upstate New York, then Conn. and then back down to the Bronx. I got 3/4 of the way down the Jersey Turnpike and had to refill the tank in the Prius. It cost me $12.00 to fill up.
Tonight I took the Prius to the gas station with a 1?4 tank of gas still in it and filled it up and it was $28.00!
I truly do not understand how most people are surviving. I was almost on fumes when I filled up in New Jersey. Maryland just flat out SUCKS!
I have found that the gas at the Delmar Wawa is always the same price as the one in Salisbury. I don't get up that way much anymore so many someone could keep us posted. I would bet even after Maryland increases their gas prices the Delmar Wawa will do the same.
WaWa in Delmar would love to have your business.
ReplyDeletejust another reason to drive a couple of miles to VA state line. 10¢ cheaper than Pocomoke City now… what will tomorrow bring?
ReplyDeleteWay to go Maryland!

A shame the tax didn't go into effect a few days BEFORE the primary election.

The only reason they had 'NO CHOICE' was because they didn't exercise the choice to not spend....

ReplyDeleteguess I'll be fueling up in delmar from now on!
ReplyDeleteIt's on my calendar every year. So close to two state lines, it's just a reminder!
