WCEA Leadership Retains Control

Dear WCEA Members:

In lieu of the preliminary hearing on May 15, 2014, MSEA and the “Interim Managers” sought a settlement to which the elected WCEA leadership has agreed. This settlement does not preclude the final court case, but instead maintains the rights and responsibilities of the elected leadership until said court case occurs. The settlement for the preliminary hearing is available for you to view on our website, at http://www.wceaonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Consent-Preliminary-Injunction.pdf .

Sincerely,

Kelly Stephenson, WCEA President

  1. Mr. Stevenson is the wrong person for this position. We need a real leader.

  2. We have a real leader. We have one who will stand up to the BOE. She isn't afraid to go into a meeting with an employee and ask questions of the management. Does the uniserv director do that? NO, he just usually sits there and says nothing. The illegally self appointed managers are all running for office. Hey illegally self appointed managers where's your representation for the classified employees, you know the ones that are paid less than Somerset County classified. Where is your elementary representation? Oh you know that group of teachers that get less planning time than high school teachers but have the neediest children because of their grade levels. If elected what are you plans for the association? You think that it is an easy job? Have any of you had any experience with negotiations?
Some of you won't have time to stop off after school to have a drink or two before doing association business. We do need sober leaders. I think that the illegally appointed(then legally ousted) need to outline their agenda if they are running for office, if you plan on getting more than just your own vote. Members don't want to vote for bullies.

  3. Hey WCEA folks, here's a new idea,
why don't you just start a new association. It would be one that MSEA can't touch. Once you have enough members than you get the bargaining rights with the BOE. Just a thought.

  4. A new association is the answer. Will enough members be willing to do it is the question

  5. Too bad,
    Back to status quo.
You know they kiss a$$ at the board and could care less about their constituents!

  6. 7:31, you are probably right that she's not the right person for the job but what msea is doing is just a black eye for all the teachers of wicomico county. Just vote her out and she will be gone right?

You are just as bad as the MSEA for voting for Democrats and the Democrat agenda. You idiots have already endorsed Norman Conway and there never were any interviews with candidates.

  9. They all need to do the right thing and step down from their position. They are all acting very silly and unprofessional. Step down and have a vote for new leaders
