HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — The Seventh-day Adventist Church is proposing shutting down a Hagerstown printing plant that employs 110 workers.
General Vice President Delbert Baker said Tuesday that the proposal partly reflects reduced demand for printed material in the Internet age.
The move will take effect July 1 if a proposed restructuring of the church's two publishing houses is approved by their constituent members.
