Ron Pagano: It’s Time to Tell Wicomico County About “That Stuff”

We understand that Mr. Pagano has issued a thickly buttered biography about his background ("an Attorney, Investment Advisor, Court Commissioner and Business Owner/Jobs Creator"), his family (children, current spouse) and his "advocacy skills." It touts his general "goals" but there's nothing specific – like if he supports or opposes the County's "tax cap" that Rick Pollitt opposes.

It's also devoid of specific information about his background, much of which occurred elsewhere and before he moved to this area a few years ago. We don't know diddley about his real record, but we have some questions based on public records.

As we recently reported here, a federal tax lien was filed last year in Wicomico County against “Ronald A. Pagano" for "1041" taxes of more than One Million Dollars. And there are a number of cases in the District Court in Wicomico County and elsewhere against a defendant with that name. Both the tax lien and a list of those cases can be found with that post: http://sbynews.blogspot.com/2014/03/ron-pagano-yikes-did-you-tell-daily.html

In that post we pointed out that an article about Mr. Pagano in the Daily Times did not mention the tax lien or cases and that we would announce that the person named as "Ronald A. Pagano" was someone else or an imposter, provided that he sent appropriate proof. We have not heard from him, but that's not very surprising. Mr. Pagano could have addressed the matter at the forum for candidates held by the NAACP last week or in his bio piece – but he failed to do so.

Mr. Pagano: it's time to come clean with Wicomico County voters. If you are not the person named in the tax lien, just give us a call to discuss the proof that we will publish if it’s approprite.

  1. Rick Pollitt is supporting this dude. Is this an example birds of a feather?

  2. Do a judiciary case search on candidate Marvin Ames for some more fun!!

  4. I saw pollitt liked his buttered bio. Bob Culver I hope you are watching this closely.

  5. It doesn't matter. In a choice between the best member of the county council, Joe Holloway, or Pagano, I don't think it will be a close.

  6. Maybe not but if this dude has a criminal background then the taxpayers needs to know it. Says something about Ricky that he is supporting someone like this guy. Does he really know him or is it because he is running against J Holloway. He would support a skunk skunk rather than have J Holloway on the council who really represents the people. Really says something about the character of Pollitt.

  7. Joe, don't pick on him. He's a little person (dwarf.)

  8. Mitchell's just as bad. At the NAACP forum she proved once again what an ignoramus she is.
Quoting she said in reference to government being run like a business-
"really, you don’t, because businesses are there to make a profit, and we don’t want our government to make a profit. They should do exactly what their mandate is"
This coming from Mitchell who hasn't a pot to take a piss in! Well it's no wonder she is a peon without even a home to call her own at her age!
It's people like her who have created the mess the children are going to have to deal with. But what does she care about children. Her own are hardly anything to brag about! Governments should have a "profit" so when things like teacher's pensions get shifted their money in the kitty to pay for it. What an utter fool she it.

  9. A lot of unanswered questions about him. He's claims to have been or is a "job creator." Where, when and how? He claims to be an attorney. My antenna goes up on this one. While it's possible he did attend law school, exactly where did he practice and what was/is his specialty. He said this the other day "“as an attorney, I always knew there was two sides to every story.” If in fact he were an attorney he would know there are 3 sides to every story-"his story, her story and then the real story."

  10. Pagano says-" I am currently serving as Vice President of the I.P.P.S. Mentoring Program, Inc."

When you look up IPPS on MD business entity search it says their business license was forfeited. This is not a person who shows the responsibility needed to govern and set policy.

  11. Ron Pagano, Josh Hastings and Laura Mitchell are all part of the little Klan that Chuck Cook and Jim Ireton and the local Democrat Party put together to run against good Republicans. This is definitely one election you need to vote Republican. All three of those guys are scary.

  12. Pollitt and his pal Michael Pretl are behind getting this bozo to run. They hate Joe Holloway, but this is all they could find to face him.

  13. Ron Pagano is from NEW YORK! Not the Eastern Shore! He lives in Delmar,MD according to some records as his physical address, but has multiple p.o. boxes in delmar, de. Do you seriously want a liar, and a thief to represent us? I know there are already several but do we need another one?

  15. A Form 1041 is filed for an estate or a trust. If he owes back taxes for something like that he is a real snake.

I do not understand ppl who want to run for public office when they have more judgements againest them than bernie madoff.looks like him, ames and mitchell all three could not get a gallon of milk on there name but they want to delagate how to spend the somewhat few and quickly declining wicomico county taxpayer hard earned dollars.

Joe holloway knows more about fiscal responsibilty than all of them combined

So Laura Mitchell lives in Government housing and Josh Hastings still lives in his mommy's basement. Doesn't either one of them pay taxes?

  18. The reason Pollitt dosen't like Joe Holloway is that Joe calls him out. I follow the councils actions and Joe called Pollitt out on the westside parkland. Pollitt and his buddy Mackis was going to spend a cool million dollars on 100 acres and Joe found land close by for half the price. Joe also questions Pollitt's other spending and Ricky and Strasburg doesn't liked to be questioned. Once the taxpayers give up the money they think there is no accountability. Joe watches out for us working people and he has my vote and my entire family will vote for him as well.

  19. Pagano, Cook, huh... they might as well be taliban commanders because that's how much damage their ideology does to America and to local citizens.
These people are not leaders, they have NO experience at anything but making trouble and spewing hate. Cook is a mediocre musician and a pizza delivery guy that has more experience with illegal drugs than anything else.
Pagano's tax issues speak for themselves.

  20. I thought this dude was from Ohio. He's certainly has a history there. RICKY maybe you should check him out.

  21. I agree 5:16 and both Pollitt and Strausburg faces turn red when holloway calls them out. It's great to watch.

  22. He's just another person trying to win a political position so he can make millions off the tax paying citizen so he can retire in florida like so many corrupt politicians.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Heck he already has a federal lien against him for $1 million.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hell will freeze over before Ron Pagano addresses this issue. He's a democrat and that explains it all. They don't want to pay their fair share even when they owe it, as is this case, but are real quick to tell others they need to pay more than they already are.

  25. Pagano and Mitchell on the ballot are more than enough to make me vote for Nob Culver over Pollitt.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Pollitt's dad (Judge Dick) and grandfather (Sheriff Jesse) would be ashamed that he is promoting Pagano and that he is pals with someone like Pretl.

    ReplyDelete
  27. With that tax lien Pagano sure must be a good investment and business advisor!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I will give Pagano credit when it's due every though I think his politics are loony. He did make a good comment on the DT's about Standard Register plant closure. He wanted to know if there had been or will be any communication between the business and local government officials. While we all know the bottom line is money and profits, officials would benefit from anything they could learn from talking to management.

I can assure you that NO County Council member has ever made a million dollars off the tax payers. What a stupid comment.

  30. 8:53-

Actually it was BS. When a firm closes a plant the last thing it does (after the decision is made) is tell the local governments. They don't have any advance notice, so there is no opportunity to try to talk the firm into keeping the plant opened. The only exception is if the firm is trying to get goodies from the locals, using closure as leverage, but that is not the case with Standard Register, which is closing here as part of a firm restructure and downsizing.

No doubt Ireton and Pollitt will contact that firm and plead for it to stay, but tax and other local factors -- for which those two are largely responsible -- have probably caused SR to close the plant here rather than another one somewhere else.

And the fact that someone like Pagano is running with the backing of the Democrat party and Pollitt himself is likely to make other firms decide to leave or not locate here.

  31. Pagano is all BS -- his record is a mirage in his mind for which he gives no specific details.

Suggest checking his background thoroughly to get to the truth.

Based on the readily available stuff that has been posted here, it is astounding that Pollitt and Pretl got him to run -- says a lot about their ethics and credibility (lack thereof).

You people keep talking about Pagano and Mitchell, but you keep forgetting about the other plant from the Democrats, Josh Hastings.

Hastings, Mitchell, Pagano and Ernie Davis is the majority that Rick Pollitt(the Democrats) need to wipe out this county and put the final nail in the coffin. I hate to say this, but Bob Culver is not a guaranteed shoe in.

You people need to focus on Hastings, Mitchell and Pagano for the County council. A Democrat majority is almost guaranteed if you people don't wake up. District 1 is a guaranteed Democrat spot and District 4 is as close to Democrat as you will get.

Focus on making sure Pagano, Mitchell and Hastings are not elected!

  34. If you want to see why we need Joe Hollaway on the county council you need to watch the Tuesday Council meeting (April 1st ). This guy has more common sense in his right pocket than Matt Hollaway and John Hall together.

  35. @5:07 you totally missed the point! I don't care if Laura Mitchell does live in government housing or if Josh Hastings does live with his mother. What concerns me is that they physically reside in the county they represent, and the state!

  36. 11:18 AM you miss the point. If you only care that Laura Mitchell and Josh Hastings physically reside in the county then you have lost your marbles. Those 2 candidates are a big threat to this county and state. You are to stupid to be a republican and I hope they don't let you vote.
