Grass & Weed Season

The City of Salisbury would like to take this opportunity to remind property owners that according to Chapter 8.08 of the Salisbury Municipal Code grass/weed & noxious growth shall not be in excess of 8 inches. Every owner of any area, lot or parcel of land shall cut, trim or otherwise remove or cause to be cut, trimmed or otherwise removed all grass, weeds, brush or plant growth thereon in excess of eight inches.

Additionally property owners of any lot or land located in the city shall maintain their respective curbs, gutters and sidewalks bordering their parcels of land in such condition as to be clear of all growth of grass, weeds, brush or plant growth within the curb, gutter and sidewalk.

  7. I hope they start fining Kirk Kinnamon soon. His undeveloped lots in the Village of Aydelotte have been out of compliance for well over a week now and the good weather hasn't even started yet! But then again, he's a good ole boy (thus the reason why the development was approved to begin with) so he'll skate on by.

  8. I should start putting my camera in my car, I've never been a shutter bug but if everyone sends pictures we see of negligent city property to Joe they will be busy enough to leave most citizens alone.

    There is also that property next to Genesis nursing home that has at least two different developers that got nowhere fast. Pipes ect. been sticking out of the dirt for years now.
