First of all, they are PAID. It should be more like, thank goodness for VOLUNTEER Firefighters. No disrespect towards paid Firefighters but they are paid to do a job and paid quite well, I should add.
Don't get excited for the paid firemen. It wasn't a real fire and it was in Fruitland as an assist. Still no need to justify having over 60 paid firemen and doing absolutely nothing to recruit good volunteers.
Thank goodness for the paid Paramedics. It's not the paid firemen that saved the lives on these calls it's the paid paramedics that do.
You can thank the paid firemen for responding to the ambulance calls and burning fuel. It's nice to see all of them standing around while the Paramedic crew does all of the work. Makes you wonder why they fire engine even responds.
Here we go again. The FAR truck brings the PARAMEDICS to the scene. They don't have an AMBULANCE to carry the patient to the HOSPITAL, so they need AMBULANCE DRIVERS to do that.
It's really that simple, as explained many tines here by the PAID FAR FIGHTERS.
Thank goodness for the paid firemen.

2:25, the paid firemen ARE your paramedics.

ReplyDeleteThey are far from paramedics. There are many things they can not do that a paramedic can do.
