Ray Rice Gets Married
There are reports that Ravens running back Ray Rice has married his fiancée Janay Palmer, one day after Rice was indicted in New Jersey for attacking Palmer in an Atlantic City casino.
On this week's Ravens Saturday Huddle, WBAL's Keith Mills quoted sources who said the couple had got married on Friday.
The wedding, which had been planned for some time, took place one day after Rice was indicted on a third degree assault charge for attacking Palmer on February 15. Several days later TMZ posted video showing Rice dragging an unconscious Palmer out of an elevator.

That is so she can claim spousal privilege and not testify against him.
ReplyDeleteIn many states a spouse cannot be made to testify against the other spouse.
ReplyDeleteNJ has found another sheep to fleece..they have their eyes on Ray Rice's millions..Casinos feed free booze to Marks with money..Jersey should investigate that practice..if they are so worried about everything else.
ReplyDeleteShe is a fool and it is about money.
ReplyDeleteTime to trade or cut him?
ReplyDeleteSpousal privilege can't be invoked. The marriage does not insulate them from events that occurred prior to their union. Surely a lawyer told him that. It only applies to events that occur while married as well as a spouse can be compelled to testify when they are the victim (or it's a child or their property.)
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter anyway. There is a video showing the incident. It happened in a casino.
In New Jersey spouses cannot claim the right not to testify if the crime was committed against them . I am not a ravens fan but this looks more and more like a DA looking for face time for political purposes.
