ANNAPOLIS, MD In honor of Women's History Month, Governor Martin O'Malley will welcome thirty middle school-aged girls from across the state to participate in the Governor's Leadership Forum for Women and Girls. The girls selected to attend were nominated by school systems across the state and were selected because of their leadership skills, academic progress, and extracurricular actives.
During the forum, the girls will meet women in leadership positions from numerous fields to discuss career development, tour the State House, and learn more about how state government works. The day will begin at 10:00 am and will end at 4:00 pm in the State House.
A media availability will take place during opening remarks in the Governor's Reception Room at 10:30 am. Cameras will have the option to take B-roll and photographs.
