BREAKING NEWS: SHOT FIRED AT SALISBURY MSP BARRACK

Salisbury News is learning there may have been one person shot at the MSP Barrack in Salisbury. It's a bit sketchy but they have called for one EMS for a shooting there. They go on to say they are looking for a 95 Oldsmobile. Then we heard the shooting could be an accident. Either way, someone has been shot. We'll keep you updated with details as they come in.

Delmar has just been dispatched to respond to a second person injured in a vehicle crash related to the shooting.

OK, here's what we're hearing now as this is getting crazy. Apparently there was an accident. When Police rolled up a State Trooper started yelling shots fired.  He mentioned a 95 Oldsmobile, got the tag number as it took off.

There are TWO victims. One is at the state police barracks and the other is at Beracah Homes. Rt. 13 is completely shut down right now in both directions. Delmar is at the accident and Salisbury is at the police barracks.

I know. It all sounds crazy but that's how it's coming in. We'll clean it all up later. The important part is, people have been shot and Rt. 13 is closed.

Delmar is calling in for lights and possibly the Dive Team.

UPDATE: Look, there are a LOT of rumors going on already about this shooting. Even we have admitted the information is sketchy. Just know this. Two people have been injured and we will await a press release to give you more accurate details. Rt. 13 is shut down as well. We'll keep you posted as soon as we can.

Eastern Shore Fire/EMS/Police Breaking News Updated information on the incident. Msp was involved and hurt in the accident, not by shots fired. Msp fired shots at the suspect and suspect was hit. At this time this is all the information that is available. As more comes available we will update

  15. WOW! It's 10:00 PM and there are more then 5,300 people viewing this article right now as we speak. I have NEVER seen an article race to the very top of our top 5 articles of the week, in an hour and a half.

Pay close attention WBOC, WMDT and the Daily Times. People know exactly where to go to get their news and information.

  16. If the cop shot the "victim" then the victim is not the victim. The cop is the victim and the perpetrator was shot by the victim. If that is the case good work MSP.

  18. I was leaving Lowes in Salisbury this evening and saw multiple police cars heading north. I had a feeling something big was going on so I kept checking sbynews and information was posted on the site within 10 minutes. This is the most reliable source for information on the Eastern Shore.

  19. We don't know who is what. What we know for sure is a cop was hurt. Thank God he wasn't killed.

  20. Just looked at WBOC's website. Below is a copy of part their reporting. Apparently they don't proofread either. Than or then? Hmmm.

A shooting than occurred, and unconfirmed reports of one person shot. Police say there is another scene near Beracah Homes and looking for a possible second suspect.

  21. This is Jay. Excuse my grammatical error, and instead why don't you pray for the officers involved. Thank you.

  25. What kind of stupid do you have to be to pull a "drive by" on or near a police station? Thanking God, for the officers life being spared. Especially thankful, he had the wherewithal to shoot to kill. Praying for the safety of all our law enforcement personnel. God be with you.

  26. So the first "shooting" victim Salisbury EMS was dispatched to in the barracks parking lot may have been the trooper who actually wasn't shot? So with that said was their one or 2 people shot? Nothing but chaos, but that is understandable considering the circumstances.

  27. Perhaps the discussion about the sheriffs salary will go away now.

  28. Hell! Was Lewis at the scene or somewhere in the country speaking at a seminar. No matter what, he did not deserve a raise. The officers who actually do the work are the ones who deserve a raise. For instance, the police officer who was injured tonight deserve the raise more than Lewis.

  30. SAD for the injured Trooper, but good shooting guys...No wasted Tax-payers for the State Prison Welfare Class of our Society...

  31. I hope and pray the officer is OK.
I also hope they will issue the officers M60 machine guns to clean up the area. It would be like taking a tank size lawnmower to all troubled neighborhoods like booth street , lake street and many others.
