Who is the biggest recipient of the public dollars being used to try and clean up after Perdue’s polluting behavior?
Perdue.

If we look at our Eastern Shore rivers we have passing grades. Our water flows south to bay. If our rivers are "clean" where is the pollution coming from. How about Pennsylvania, New Jersey who have no regulations to clean up the bay. Look a little further north and leave the Eastern Shore alone.
ReplyDeleteCorporate welfare is one of the few topics both the far right and the far left agree on.
ReplyDeleteHow about the subsidies that the farmers get from the Feds - and then they transport the grains to Perdue. Perdue is also benefiting from this arrangement.
ReplyDeleteSBYnews published all of the recipients - and guess what - the Agriculture Industry tried to suppress the release of names who were the beneficiaries from the arrangement - but the Farm Bill required that the names be disclosed. Talk about Poultry welfare, we have plenty of it here on the eastern shore.
The source is the extremist environmental LOBBYISTS that inspired, then pushed the Chicken Tax! Ask them about pollution coming from the north! 70% of the water in the bay comes through the Conawingo Dam and with cones all of the pollution from Pennsylvania and places North.
ReplyDeleteThank GOD for Mayor Carl Anderton for stepping up and fighting against that terrible tax!
Scott Edwards should move to California. He would fit in well in the LEFT SIDE of the U.S. :-)
ReplyDeleteKudo's to SBYNWES for doing what the Daily Times will never do -- telling the truth about Perdue!
ReplyDeletePerdue needs the 5 cent a bird tax, let them leave, so what, at least the health of the area will improve.
ReplyDeleteAll you belly-akers get on here and complain about businesses closing or leaving the local area. The one LARGE employer that is here and has been for a long time, you want to criticize for doing business. Look what happened to Allen Family Foods! You need to move to western shore with O'Malley...
ReplyDeleteThat article contains so much misinformation. Just one example, they state that there are piles of poop sitting around because there is no demand. Well, I sell my manure for about 5,000 a year and the farmer who gets it helps remove it. I have been approached with similar offers.
