A Letter To The Editor: Bennett Middle School
Wasn't sure if you were aware but my daughter called today to ask me to bring her a jacket as she was cold. I didn't rush over since she needed to learn to be more responsible. However at lunch time when my husband went to take her a sweat shirt, he was informed the boilers were down and there was no heat. I personally have not verified but I have not received any messages from the school in regards to this. Personally they call and excuse an absence due to weather over 80 some degrees for heat exposure, but nothing due to no heat in the school?
Just get one of those gift cards and buy some hot coffee.
ReplyDeleteblablabla, complain complain complain. Yeah, be a more responsible parent. Here we have the weather dropping down, snow is due and you send your kid to school without a jacket? THEN bitch on here? YOU are part of americas issues!
ReplyDeleteNo your cancerous attitude is is part of America's issues.
Delete10:44 yea, she is a stupid idiot to expect there to be HEAT in the SCHOOL she is REQUIRED to send her child too. How dare she!
ReplyDeleteMaybe she should pack her own water too , just incase a pipe breaks. Maybe she should also bring a port o potty just incase the bathrooms break, maybe she should pack food just incase the kitchen breaks, maybe she should hire and send in a teacher just incase the school hired teacher calls off sick, maybe she should have an extra bus on call just incase her daughters bus breaks down. How stupid to expect there to be heat and the fact that she "didn't plan" for it breaking.
ReplyDeleteI certainly am not one who enjoys the drama. To my defense I have a Middle School Age child that dresses herself. I was out of town on business and not home when she nearly missed the bus and ran out the door without a coat. I am one of "those" parents that actually works out a living, doesn't receive free/reduced lunch, energy assistance or food stamps. My child has more than enough clothing in her room to supply clothing to 1/2 the school. When I leave for a business meeting in Baltimore at 5:30 am and prepare as much as I can the night before to make sure my kid will get to school, fed, warm, clean, healthy, I think I have done my part!
ReplyDeleteAgain, when was the last time you told a pre-teen what to wear? Kids don't like coats generally as they don't fit in lockers, don't wNt to carry around all day, ect. With more than 3/4 of the year complete, she knows how to dress for the temps of the school under NORMAL circumstances. This was not a Normal circumstance.
To defend the original issue, there were portable heaters in the school today, tells me there was a real issue yesterday. Thankful they were warm today.
You my friend are the real issue. Want to blame everyone else while you probably sit with free heat, free food, free phone, and 9.99 internet while you have schools raising your kids cause you lack the common sense of a REAL parent! Get a life!
I just asked my kids if it was cold there yesterday and they said NO! My boy wear shorts every day and he would have said if he was cold. I don't think you are telling the truth.
ReplyDeleteQuit whining and tell your wimpy kid to wear a coat like they are supposed to do. If you sent them to school with out the appropriate outerwear you are an abusive and negligent parent. Good thing you didn't sign your name because CPS would have been there.
