In the last couple of weeks, there have been two robberies from local non-profit organizations. These are the current rumors that are floating around. Maybe you have heard more.
The American Legion Post 64 had approx $5,000 stolen by a recently hired employee.
The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4503 had approx $4,800 stolen, reportedly, from the Chaplains unlocked van while parked at Sam's Club.
Both of these events greatly affect these organizations as they operate on a very small budget. It will be very sad if it turns out the both this incidents were actually inside jobs.
well as far as post 64 i can see why they got hit they treat there people like trash along with there members they need to just replace all of the people and officers
ReplyDeleteOh wow!! I cannot imagine leaving a vehicle unlocked with any cash inside let alone a large sum. That poor guy is probably kicking himself for that mistake. What a shame!
ReplyDeleteLeaving a vehicle unlocked with cash in it is a dumb as driving or riding in a pickup without a seat belt on in a snowstorm!
ReplyDeleteChaplin should have locked his van?
ReplyDeleteIt isn't robbery. It's theft. Big difference. Robbery is a crime of violence. Theft is not.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about post 64 but can be sure it was an inside job at the Eagles, that place has been getting ripped off by its officers for years, way back when it was Eastside Mens Club. Some people used it as their personal piggy bank. About eighty thousand dollars was missing one time but it was never reported because at the time the eastside club had illegal slot machines.
ReplyDeleteWow, that legion post has enough problems already.
ReplyDeleteIt really is not a surprise about the legion, they have had a shady group for sometime.
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly is the "Fraternal Order of Eagles"?
