The electrical fire started before 3:00 AM and caused severe damage in the kitchen area. We were told, "the kitchen is wiped out". The Owners are stating they will rebuild and come back.
Is it time to talk about construction inspections? Probably not. These were not originally set up to generate income for retired construction workers. The intent was to protect consumers from inferior craftsmanship and improper materials. Many businesses and individuals have suffered financially from poor inspections.
Best Italian food on the shore, went to that fake Italian restaurant across from the mall run by a couple of thieves and got sick. This place is the best, of course that is why they got voted best on the shore in the Metropolitan magazine several years in a row!
I doubt if they will rebuild in this economy, I live down from them and many nights there is only 3 or 5 cars in the lot, you can't pay the bills with that low flow of cash.
The Salisbury Fire Department doesn't do Fire Inspections like they are supposed to do and my bet is they never have done a fire inspection at that facility. The Salisbury Fire Department is a joke and so is it's leadership. A fire inspection may have prevented this fire if it wasn't arson.
Hope they come back soon - I like that place!
ReplyDeleteI hope they do build back. We would miss Bonnie and the staff, and especially the best crab cakes and pasta around!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure where this place is,but I think Pappy's Pizza used to be there.
ReplyDelete10:56 you must have been living under a rock. Their location was I the old pappy's location several years ago. Go back to sleep
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for them to be back!
ReplyDelete11:19 was it really necessary to educate them with insults?
ReplyDeleteAnd you wonder why this community has such a bad reputation.
Maybe the Pappy's comment was its own insult? Funny!
ReplyDelete11:33 no it's not and neither are you
ReplyDelete11:33 is a fool!
ReplyDeleteThe best chicken Parm in the world!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree 11:24, fat boy and the dregs of society must be bored today
ReplyDeletePappy's was a much better restaurant than Fratelli's.
ReplyDeleteTo 2:40. Pappy's was so great no one went there and it closed.

ReplyDeleteSounds suspicious they were talking about needing to remodel and that it was going to be to expensive, wow, just in time they have a fire!
ReplyDeleteAll of you are wrong. They used to be in the pappys building. The are currently in the old steakhouse.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite places to eat. I hope they reopen soon. I'll be back if they do.

ReplyDeleteNo better time for a remodel burn. The holiday season is past and work should be done before the next one.

ReplyDeleteI hope they make out ok because even with insurance to rebuild they wont get all the lost income in the meantime.
ReplyDeleteHope they can come back from this.I enjoy eating there.
ReplyDeleteThats one way to get out of Salisbury
ReplyDeleteApparently they aren't rebuilding. . I guess self inflicted arson doesn't pay like it use to....
