Search continues for fifth crewmember
Two crewmen have died and some wreckage has been found following a Navy helicopter crash off the coast of Virginia Beach Wednesday morning. One crew member remains missing.
Petty Officer Brandyn Hill with the Coast Guard told WAVY.com five people were aboard the helicopter when it went down about 18 nautical miles east of Cape Henry, the northeast corner of Virginia Beach. The Navy said the distress call went out around 10:45 a.m.
The Navy said it took 25-30 minutes to rescue the first two sailors after the distress call was made. A total of four were rescued in less than an hour. The fifth crew member remains unaccounted for at this time.
