Troopers Investigate Double Murder In Millsboro Home

Location: Residence located in the 28000 block of Harmons Hill Road, Millsboro, DE

Date of Occurrence: Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 1:08 a.m.

Victims:
William Hopkins-27 year old male of Millsboro, DE
Cletis T. Nelson-29 year old male of Millsboro, DE

Suspects:

Resume:
Millsboro-Delaware State Police Homicide Detectives are conducting an investigation into the double murder of William Hopkins-27 and a Cletis T. Nelson-29 after they were found dead inside of a Millsboro residence early Tuesday morning.

The investigation into this incident began on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at approximately 1:08 a.m. after Troopers were called to a residence located in the 28000 block of Harmons Hill Road, when a concerned family member of Cletis T. Nelson went to the residence after being unable to contact him for an extended period of time. The family member entered the home and found the two victims deceased and called State Police. Both victims were pronounced dead inside of the residence.

Preliminary investigation has determined that there was no indication of forced entry into the home and no suspect information is available is available at this time.

The bodies will be removed from the scene and turned over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

Delaware State Police Homicide Detectives continue their investigation by conducting interviews and collecting evidence at the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident, including a timeline leading up to the discovery.
