Pentagon unaware the Benghazi annex existed
(Tea Party) – In a stunning bombshell released in the Senate report on the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attack, it was revealed that the mere existence of the CIA annex that was besieged during the deadly terrorist attack was unknown the commander of the US forces in Africa.
This staggering detail raises red flags and a steady stream of questions. What was going down at that annex and at the US special mission nearby and why were key members of the Defense Department not aware of it—including those personnel responsible for responding to emergency situations? Why, on the night of that attack, was command of an elite unit known as C-110, or EUCOM CIF, transferred from European command to United States Africa Command (AFRICOM.)
