How can the Police Chief own a collection company that collects fines when the money goes directly to the police department? Isn't that illegal? That would be a conflict of interest. Thats corruption!
Is that really happening in Delmar? Thats my town. I think thats an ethics violation. Do the mayors and commissioners know about this? If they do and don't do anything about it they are just as bad as the Chief of Police. Maybe they are getting kickbacks! Joe, please look into this. If anyone had the B***s you do.
ReplyDeleteCorrupt police. Who would have thought .
ReplyDeleteConflict of interest and ethics violations mean nothing in politics anymore.
ReplyDeleteGood example is the governor of Florida pushing drug testing when He OWNS the company that does drug testing.
Look into the stocks owned by our reps in Washington, same thing, they vote their own interests.
this is simple--look at May 2013 joint council meeting minutes where they went to closed session to talk about a contract that was signed and who it was with. The open meeting minutes are public record--go to town hall in Delmar and ask to see them. they cant charge for looking at them, if you want a copy you may get a charged a reasonable 10-25 cent per page copy charge. Ask to see the contract they were discussing, again this is public record and can be reviewed at the town office. They are not obligated to show you the closed session minutes, but the signed contract and open session minutes should show you what you need to see along with the list of attendees that went into closed session--that is public information as well---
ReplyDeleteDid I miss something? These people SERVE us, not RULE us. A closed meeting to discuss whether or not the police are scamming citizens or are lying, cheating, and stealing??
ReplyDeletewhy don't you sorry losers sign up run for a local office. even maybe get off your couches and go to a meeting sometime? oh...that would be too much work.
ReplyDeleteIt don't matter if we come to meetings or run for a office. we still pay our taxes and we deserve better. If people who are elected were at the meeting like 1227 said and its true that the chief of police is corrupted why dont they do something about it?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Red I Collections owned by Harbor Pizza LLC 16 N. Market St. Seaford. Chief Saylors bar is Marina's in Blades has two addresses 16 s. Market St. seaford and 16 N. Market St. Blades and is owned by Harbor Pizza LLC. Harbor Pizza LLC owned by The Saylors. Red I Collections contracted by Chief Saylor to collect the fines for speeding tickets. Looks like an Ethics violation. Looks like Mayors and commissioners know about it and didnt do anything about the ethics violation.
ReplyDeleteFirst, how do you know the Mayors and commissioners knew anything? And if they did know, how do you know they did nothing? Are you privy to personnel files?
ReplyDeleteWow 7:34. Very odd that you would know that information. You know what company was contracted, who the company is owned by and that it "looks" like the mayor and council did nothing. Who are you employed by?
ReplyDelete7:34, Sounds like you work for the police department to me. If you knew about this, did you do anything to see that something was done? You are sworn to uphold the law aren't you?
ReplyDeleteanonymous 8:07, why someone who works in the police department. I knew most of this information.
