MSNBC HOST’S RADICAL IDEA: ‘EVERY NON-INCARCERATED ADULT CITIZEN GETS A MONTHLY CHECK FROM THE GOVERNMENT’
On Tuesday’s edition of MSNBC’s “The Cycle,” co-host Krystal Ball suggested that the United States implement a minimum guaranteed income for every “non-incarcerated adult citizen.” The enormous entitlement program would “eliminate poverty” completely, Ball claimed.
Referencing protests occurring across the globe, the MSNBC host made her pitch for a “monthly minimum income” or a “mincome.” The free government money would not only solve poverty, but it would not create deincentives to work, she claimed.
“The basic concept is simple,” she said. “Every non-incarcerated adult citizen gets a monthly check from the government. Other safety net programs are jettisoned to pay for the mincome, and poverty is eliminated.” More
With a name like Krystal ball she should maybe look into her crystal ball and figure out this will NOT work. If you pay everyone 25k you won't have anyone that wants to work.

I don't think it's a good idea, but it's better than what we have now... and at least it's not JUST freeloaders getting OUR money... at least we get some of it back.
I believe that is already the case. Every year most americans get a "Welfare Check" from the Government we generally call it an Income Tax refund. But for most Americans it is actually a "Welfare Check" as it is a result of credits not taxes overpaid.
Had minimum wage kept up with real inflation since 1965 minimum wage would be at least $18/hour. Instead or raising the minimum wage much the government has kept wages low by giving citizens more and more money in the form of Credits and Entitlement programs.
There is a checkbox on healthcare.gov to sign up for this. Unfortunately, it doesn't work either so don't spend the money too fast.
