  1. Black ice everywhere, don't go out. If there was ever a day for a school delay, this was it. Our school buses were here spinning their wheels and sliding around.

    Nice call WCBOE.

  2. Here's hoping you slip on ice and crack your skull Albero. That would be better than winning the lottery.

  4. 8:11. A huge part of the problem in America today is hatred like yours pointed at anyone who disagrees with your values. And to tell you the truth if this is where your value system is I for one want no part of it.

Why don't you take an anger management class or get some counseling.

  7. Don't see aproblem. Back in the 60's and 70's it took 3 or inches of snow or ice to call off school. i remember well walking to the bus stop in boots. or actually going out at lunch break in Elementry school at Prince Street and making snow men.
Now people want school closed at least a day before snow is supposed to fall.
Think it's great school is in session.

  8. It was downright dangerous outside this morning. There were accidents on major roads. Ice covered my car. The car doors would not open. My car swerved on black ice on Rt 13!!! I saw black ice patches every 300 ft. Then I slid in the parking lot. Did anyone else have problems this morning. I was grateful I did not slide into anyone one the road and no one slid into me while driving.

  9. As usual around this area the temperature drops right before sunrise and there was some fog.
That will equate to black ice. The news acted like it was no big deal.IT WAS A BIG DEAL because it was unexpected. We are so accustom to school delays when conditions are hazardous as an indication of road conditions. When I got up at 5:30 this morning it was 30 degrees outside. By 6:45 it had dropped to 29 degrees. I knew that I would have to leave earlier than normal because I wouldn't be able to drive the speed limit. Yes I did come across black ice in several spots from the west side of the county to the northern part of Wicomico. Did the "powers to be" not contact the state police to check on road conditions? Someone dropped the ball. Yes there were some accidents but by the grace of God, things could have been worse.
