Wicomico County Emergency Services - DES
On Monday December 9, 2013 at 3 p.m. the Department of Emergency Services received a bulletin from the National Weather Service in reference to a winter weather forecast to impact Wicomico County on Tuesday December 10, 2013.
Precipitation will begin as sleet mixed with snow around daybreak Tuesday, changing over to all snow by mid morning. Accumulations of 1-3 inches with isolated spots of up to 4 inches of snow inland. Temperatures at or just above freezing in the morning will fall to freezing temperatures in the afternoon. Temperatures Tuesday night will be in the low to mid 20’s. The snow fall is predicted to end around 5 p.m.
The Department of Emergency Services will continue to monitor the situation in conjunction with representatives of the National Weather Service. Additional bulletins will be issued if necessary.
Oh my. There will not be a roll of toilet paper or quart of milk in Food Lion by 10AM.
