Report: IRS Refunded $4B To Identity Thieves

The Internal Revenue Service issued $4 billion in fraudulent tax refunds last year to people using stolen identities, with some of the money going to addresses in Bulgaria, Lithuania and Ireland, according to an inspector general's report released Thursday.

The IRS sent a total of 655 tax refunds to a single address in Lithuania, and 343 refunds went to a lone address in Shanghai.

In the U.S., more fraudulent returns went to Miami than any other city. Other top destinations were Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta and Houston.

  2. I can't believe these stupid son of a b*tches think they can run healthcare or anything else for that matter. We wonder why this country is broke. This is the exact same thing that is going on with Medicare which they are now predicting to run out in 18 months. Stop sending the money to thieves. If the government cost 2.5 billion dollars for 16 days I would think these stupid ass people could do a little better job. As you can tell this makes me so freaking mad I can't hardly type.
