The Frederick County Sheriff's Office says the father was the shooter in a murder-suicide last week that left three family members dead in their home near New Market.
Capt. Tim Clarke said Monday that 40-year-old Benyam Asefa (as-EF'-ah) and his 42-year-old wife Barbara Giomarelli started arguing Wednesday evening as she gave their 5-year-old daughter a bath.
Clarke says they took their disagreement downstairs to the kitchen, where Asefa shot Giomarelli with a registered, 9 mm handgun.

ReplyDeleteQuote: Authorities say that Asefa had recently been dismissed from his job as a contractor for the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases at Fort Detrick.
ReplyDeleteComment: Many men tie their jobs/income to who they are, which is false. Jobs come and go, as does $$$. No need to kill yourself or anyone else over either. Sad!
This sounds like a muslim honor killing.
ReplyDelete12:04 He was a weak minded individual. Would have been better if he expressed his weakness by just offing himself, and sparing his wife and 3 month old.
ReplyDeleteConclusion: He has a coward, and a wuss (Can't write the kitty word here).
