ReplyDeleteYou cannot help but learn parts of what your parents pass on to you. It is part of nature vs. nurture. You can feel guilty about how your parents acted (racism) but it is still in your memory and when someone rubs your nose in it when you are trying to overcome it.... well you can guess the outcome. "We Shall Overcome" has no root system in this country when the very people we feel have overcome are still falling back on old issues instead of clearing a path for others. Will we ever be allowed to overcome?
